Task managers

sudo apt-get install gnome-system-monitor

How do I edit the menu in Lubuntu?

LXMenuEditor (Main Menu Editor) If link dead, try this one with the same files that were available before
Execute the LXMenuEditor.jar file, and then use the program to add the same file to the main menu... (with no spaces in the path...)
  • Java based
  • Cannot edit the main categories (as alacarte would if it worked)
  • Can open and edit .desktop files as text

Correct time in persistent live USB

It seems that in persistent live USB  it is displayed the wrong time (GMT / UTC instead of local)

ANSWER FROM HERE

sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata

After executing this to ensure the correct timezone was selected, then set this command to be run automatically and non-interactively at startup by adding it to System -> Preferences -> Sessions -> Add -> Command:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure -f noninteractive tzdata

But in Lubuntu   I cannot add new staff to session. Nevertheless the first command seems persistent.
